Of late, the market bias of popular bourses such as NYSE, NASDAQ, HKSE, SGX & KLSE is predominantly 'short'; ie bearish.
It is important to know the market bias as this will determine our trading strategy. In view of the present market situation, you don't want to go 'long' as 'short' positions hold higher probabilities of a winning trade. The markets have also been volatile. So what do you do when the market is volatile. There are strategies to minimise (cut) losses should the trade goes against you.
Entering a trade is easy but exiting a trade is always difficult. It is just like a relationship.....it is easy to fall in love but breaking up is hard to do.
When you are holding a position, do you always know when to hold, cut your losses or let it ride the trend to maximize your gains? To be successful in trading, one needs to break away from these 'emotional' ties.
